Gregory County Rubble Site Free Use Days for Limited Items

The Gregory County Rubble Site will be open for non-commercial Gregory County residents to use, free of charge, on May 16-14-7, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The following items will be accepted (ABSOLUTELY NO PLASTIC):

• CONSTRUCTION RUBBLE - boards/wood products, shingles, cement & old furniture
• TREES & TREE BRANCHES
• YARD WASTE - grass clippings & tree leaves
• IRON - excluding petroleum fuel tanks
• FREON-FREE APPLIANCES - appliances that usually contain freon must be tagged free of freon

Items must be sorted before arriving at the rubble site and disposed of at the proper areas. MIXED LOADS WILL BE REJECTED IF NOT SORTED! All material must be weighed upon entrance to the rubble site.

 

Containers with liquid inside them will NOT be accepted. All un-tarped loads will be fined $25.00. The Gregory County Sheriff's Office will be patrolling roads leading to the rubble site and tickets will be issued if caught littering.

 

ITEMS MAY BE DISPOSED AT REGULAR PRICE:

• HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE - paper, cardboard, tin cans, table scrap type waste, glass containers, all plastic items (these materials must be dumped in the transfer station at a charge of $80.00/per ton or $12.00 minimum

 

ITEMS THAT MAY BE DISPOSED HALF PRICE:

• TIRES - 16" & smaller, $4.50 each;16.5" and larger, $5.50 each; tractor tires, $7.50 each
