Gregory Fire Dept

Supporting our Community

In 2025, the Gregory Volunteer Fire Department was paged 22 times for fires, car accidents, and other emergencies. One of the most memorable calls was the July 28 lightning fire near Iona. A supercell storm extinguished the fire, then moved southeast across Gregory County, producing tornadoes near Dixon and two additional touchdowns before leaving the area.

The members of the GFD continue to train and improve our equipment. Recently, we built movable walls above the fire hall office to simulate house searches during fires. In November, we took delivery of a 2026 F-350 to replace the 1999 Dodge 3500, transferring the flatbed, tank, and pump to the new truck. This purchase would not have been possible without your support.

We extend our heartfelt thanks for your donations to the Gregory Volunteer Fire Dept. Thank you for standing with us and for making a tangible difference in ensuring the safety and well-being of our neighbors. We are proud to have such a committed and caring community by our side.

Sincerely,
The Gregory Volunteer Fire Department
